Does Smoking Marijuana Cause Cancer? Yes!
This is the kind of propaganda coming from the marijuana policy project, and while I'm not saying that there is no truth at all to what they're saying, it's completely biased, and ignores the simple facts.
The vast majority of people who smoke marijuana smoke tobacco as well, or have smoked it in the past, and so there can never be a study done which accurately measures how many got cancer because of one toxic chemical or another.
The other thing is, that most people who smoke marijuana actually mix it with tobacco, and smoke it unfiltered through a bong or joint, and hold the smoke in their lungs for as long as they possibly can.
The whole aim of smoking marijuana is to get as much of the smoke in your lungs as possible, to get as high as possible, and when most of the people who smoke it mix it with tobacco, that means they are going to die.
This is not truth at all. Even if there is some shred of truth in there, and smoking marijuana had some sort of beneficial effect to protect people against the cancer it was causing, then as soon as people stopped smoking marijuana, (which they usually do), then that beneficial effect would be gone, and the cancer would start growing.
I knew a girl who died of cancer who smoked pot, and if you ask me, it was the pot mixed with tobacco smoked through a bong which killed her. Just because you can't prove something one way or the other, doesn't mean you can call it the truth.
This is a link to an article of mine that explains in more detail why pot does cause cancer: Does Smoking Pot Give You Cancer?
